Corporate culture

SIGA develops and produces non-toxic, age-resistant high-performance products to achieve air and weathertight buildings. As an independent family business, we strive for a world of zero-energy-loss buildings.

This is who we are: Our origins

Founded in 1966 by Paul and Trudy Sieber-Gadient, their sons Marco and Reto Sieber have focused and globalised SIGA since 1989. Now in its third generation, the Lucerne-based family business is being continuously developed by their children. Together with our customers, the SIGA team of over 650 people worldwide strives passionately to realise the SIGA vision.

SIGA Vision

We strive for a world of zero-energy-loss buildings.

That's what drives us: Curiosity and constant development

We live a culture of continuous improvement characterised by curiosity and innovation.

SIGA Management System (SMS)

  • Based on the Toyota Production System, the SIGA Management System (SMS) forms the centrepiece of our culture, which pursues the goal of continuous improvement. Our employees are the best management consultants and recognise potential for improvement in their direct work. Every 10th working day, the entire company is shut down so that our employees can integrate their improvements into their day-to-day work. Read the blog article on this topic.

Mistakes are treasures

  • At SIGA, we see mistakes as treasures that we make visible openly and transparently. This is rewarded with applause instead of blame, because recognising errors early on saves the company from having to make more costly corrections later on. Together with our customers, we create innovations that offer real added value on and off the construction site.
